Back from Boston

Was there on a business trip for two weeks. Feeling back home again. I met my dearest Lei, Andria, Augi, Jerry and many other friends. I kinda feel bad for my crazy schedule which drove everybody nuts and each time there was no gathering plan until the last minute. But the first night was really really fun. Someone, a very important person to me, was "so happy to see me"(at least I guess) that she was trashed and threw up in the toilet of my Ritz Carlton hotel room! Then I spent my first night in Boston on loveseat + chair something that was not defined as BED.

People are much more friendly and straightforward in Boston (compared to Hong Kong). I was kinda airsick when my flight was landing at the airport. A kid sitting next to me, who I just ran into on the plane an hour ago, held my hand and said "imagine we are riding a roller coaster". Oh, sweet kid, but he doesn't know that's my least favorite thing in the world. However, never talk to strangers, you were taught when you were a kid in Asia. Everybody has this very cold look on their face in this city where I live. I tried to volunteer myself then was told "we will put you in the database and inform you when there's a need". It's an art club hosting shows, exhibits, musicals, and play. Then I guess they already have enough people to help. But how many HK people know anything about art, or just interested in? Could they kindly explain how they work their volunteers and how to help each other out?

My clients from Europe and most countries in Asia are nice and kind people, at least let me say they are polite. They are willing to get closer and know you as a person. Everything is built on trust. If your clients cannot trust you, how could you do business together? It's much harder to get personal with some people from this country and they don't play by common rules. I hope it's not this country, instead, it's just these few people i met this time.

Okay, last, celebrities. I ran into Huston Rockets in my hotel, who stayed on the same floor. Yao Ming was shy. I tried to get him talk, but he was quiet and his teammates were much more talkative. And on my flight from HK to NYC, I spotted this actor who has played in many Steven Chow's movies, his most famous character was 多隆 from 韦小宝!
